It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the chance.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was out Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as skipper.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
